The summer learning your child does in the summer months can be as easy as grouping and efficiently adding M&Ms or figuring out your family's grocery total before checking out (calculators count). It could be that your child reads a hobby-focused magazine, factual book about a topic of interest, or loses themselves in some fabulous fiction story. Just 20 minutes a day is all they need.
It's EASY! When it comes to reading and practicing math over the summer- it does not need to be complicated. ANYTHING COUNTS. EVERYTHING COUNTS!
The bottom line is: if they do NOTHING, they LOSE (about 2 months of what they worked so hard to learn over the past 9 months.) Help your child(ren) out by making summer learning fun and EASY.
You've got this.
Look for fun "reminder" videos to make their way into your inbox this summer. You child will soon know the facts. We thought you should, too.
Best site I've seen for fun activities (for K-2) that spark the creative juices and involve academic learning with materials around the house. http://blog.melissaanddoug.com/2013/08/28/61-summer-fun-activities-crafts-and-games-for-kids/
