The old PowerPoint may not even make the cut as a popular product.
These days, children thrive on the opportunity to use 21st century technology and share their ideas with larger audiences. I am willing to bet that your own kids have made products using technology that you didn't even know existed. Do the names Xtranormal, Prezi, or Songify ring any bells? If they don't, yet, just know they will soon enough.
At BES, our students will take up the challenge to be creative, innovative, and technologically savvy as they share "shared" and/or independent research. Our new English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum offers students multiple opportunities over the course of their years at BES-strating in kindergarten- to gain new knowledge and create ways to share it with a more global audience. I ask you, parents, to embrace this new learning and try it out at home on your PC, laptop, iPad, smart phone, or by using the public library computers with your child. Happy 21st century learning to all!
